Attribution

The display requirement - show meta.attribution with the data - and what no resale or redistribution of raw data means in practice.

ChartDeck's data comes from exchanges, official statistics publishers, news publishers and ChartDeck's own models. Each answer lists the sources it used in meta.attribution, ready to display. The API terms ask two things of you:

  1. Show the attribution with the data. Wherever you display data from an answer (a chart, a table, a bot message), show its attribution lines nearby: under the chart, in a footer, in a tooltip, or at the end of the message.
  2. No resale or redistribution of raw data. Use the data in your own product and for your own users' views of it. Do not resell it, republish it as a data feed, or pass raw rows on for others to store and reuse.

#Examples

A chart of candles from the API, captioned:

Text
BTCUSDT 1h · Market data: Binance USD-M Futures (binance.com), via ChartDeck.

A bot posting a calendar release:

Text
US CPI m/m <actual> (forecast <forecast>) · <the attribution line of the answer>

Modelled values (the liquidation model, OI build regimes, stacked imbalances) carry a line saying they are a reading aid, not a forecast: keep it with them.

When unsure, ask support (see Terms and support).
