CS2717

error This migration conflicts with another one for name (version since).

#What it means

Migrations (settings.renamed, settings.remap, settings.retired, settings.converted) tell ChartDeck how to carry users' saved settings over to a new version of the script. This one contradicts another migration for the same input and version, or does not fit the input.

#Typical cause

  • The same migration written twice for one version.
  • settings.retired for an input that still exists.
  • settings.renamed where the old and new names are the same.
  • settings.converted on an input that is not a number.

#How to fix it

Keep one migration per input and version, and make sure each one describes a real change.

#Example

ChartScriptError: CS2717
//@chartscript 1
indicator("Migrations")
const len = input.int(14, "Length")
settings.renamed("len", "length", 2)
settings.renamed("len", "length", 2)
plot(ta.sma(close, len))

Fixed

ChartScriptOpen in editor
//@chartscript 1
indicator("Migrations")
const len = input.int(14, "Length")
settings.renamed("len", "length", 2)
plot(ta.sma(close, len))
  • CS2726 — name is not an input of this script.
  • CS2718 — The id of what changed from was to now since the previous version; saved styles for it will be lost. Give it the id "was" again to keep them.

The ChartScript documentation is in English for now; translations will follow.
